Day 12 of Russian Invasion – Begging the Lord to Stop.

The clouds over our beautiful country are getting darker. Russians changed strategy, the initial plan of a quick take over Ukraine did not work, our army is very effective, so now Russians are focusing specifically on killing civilians, bombing residential buildings and infrastructure objects in order to cause fear and panic. In 11 days Russia damaged or wiped out 202 schools, 34 hospitals, over 1500 residential buildings. Over 900 settlements have no electricity, water, heat at the moment. At least 40 children were killed and hundreds of adults among civilians.

This war is unbelievable bloody and cruel and we are begging the Lord to stop it. Please please pray for that. And not just stop, but give us victory. Our nation has already paid a very high price for it.

Seeing how civilians are treated in the cities taken over by Russia and how they practically wipe out the cities, we strongly recommend our female staff and clients to evacuate, hopefully for a short while. We have available places to live for them in Germany, Lithuania and Holland. Poland makes huge effort in providing food and lodging for Ukrainians as well. MTU vans are being used for evacuation and we partner with local Churches who focus on evacuating people.

We currently have 14 staff members on the ground, 2 of them are leaving tomorrow.
The decision to leave our homes is extremely difficult, the process of crossing the boarder is very bad right now. Please pray for all the people who are making this decision. You might have already seen this photo but I am attaching a photo of people trying to get in evacuation train at Kharkiv railway station.

The rest of MTU team is focusing on providing humanitarian and spiritual help and support for our clients. We have a few people at MTU every day giving out food and medicines, the rest are counseling on the phone. We also have a few volunteer drivers helping us deliver goods to the people.

We know God is with us and will take us through. But we also know we need mighty prayers as never before. Please continue standing in prayer with us!
