I didn’t know where to turn in the time of need …

Let me tell you how I found support when I needed it the most.

My name is Natalia and I am 19 years old. I have two children. Arina is 3 years old and Sofia is 8 months old. We live together in my father’s house. My husband was injured in the war and is recovering from his wounds at this time.

When my husband returned from his service in the army, we argued a lot. I think it was difficult for him to adjust back to a “normal” life after being in the war – especially with his injuries. It became very difficult for him to find a job and provide for our family. It’s as if he became a different person. He yelled a lot. To be honest, it was just overwhelming for me.

Not knowing where to turn, my aunt suggested I visit Mission to Ukraine. Perhaps they could offer some guidance and support.

Indeed they did help.

Not only did they provide food, diapers, blankets, and even a stroller for our baby – but also both moral and spiritual support. They offered some wonderful counsel on how to deal with my difficult home situation as well as a wonderful promise to continue praying for – and being available for – me and my family.
