Russian Invasion of Ukraine Update – The Lord’s Favor.

The Lord is giving us favor in the eyes of most democratic countries in the world and we are delighted to see that. All major cities of Ukraine are still under the control of our army. The enemy did not make much progress yesterday and is furious. Putin started using the most atrocious strategies: bombing civilian building and ruining infrastructure, killing civilians, and putting buses with women and children in front of their tanks. There is a concern about radiation level at Chernobyl with Putin preparing chemical – and even nuclear attacks.

Zhitomir was attacked again yesterday. One missile hit our new airport. Our staff and clients spent hours in shelters yesterday evening and last night. The city is preparing for an attack. Even now as I am writing I hear planes flying over our heads.

But the Lord has given us incredible peace: most of our staff is witnessing that in spite of horror we see and hear about, we feel the Lord carrying us through and we know it is because you and thousands of our brothers and sisters are praying. Your prayers are priceless! We also hear many testimonies of God’s miracle like missiles disappearing (announced officially) or not exploding. Our soldiers are seeing God’s power and hand all over them. And it is powerful to see huge unity, determination, love and care among all people. Everyone is offering help, everyone wants to do something and to be part of the fight. Valya (our administrative director) caught an armed saboteur yesterday. Local military troops are not accepting people any more – too many volunteers. And I do not know a person who is not praying and leaning on God today. God is shaping us into an incredibly beautiful nation!

Our Mission to Ukraine team continues serving our moms and children. Our counselors are busy working with children who are very scared. We are contacting, comforting, and witnessing to our 1000 clients. We are giving out medicines and food and are monitoring their needs. We are also in touch with the city to see where MTU is needed. Every morning we get together to check on each other, to pray and to discuss daily tasks.

The fight is strong and we believe it is at its peak right now. We are living through the most critical part of the war, which may take just a few more days or go on for weeks; we do not know. But we do know the Lord is among us, He is doing something great, and we are part of His plan and Ukraine will win. So please please keep your mighty constant prayers up! Pray for protection Kiev, Kharkiv, Mariupol, Kherson, Zhitomir and all major cities of the country. Pray for the Lord to be the Saviour and shield of our army and to fight for them. Pray for the Lord to scatter and horrify our enemies and for their bullets and missles to miss targets. And above all – pray for God’s Presence and light, for the Holy Spirit to bring revival and repentance to our land.

Two more prayer requests: one of our pregnancy counselors (I don’t want to mention her name publicly) and her Mom who are leaving for Lithuania today, please pray for their safety.

Also, one of our other staff members is pregnant and expecting to deliver on March 3. Please pray for her to deliver in a hospital in safe place.

These are the photos of one of our staff members children and nephews hiding in a basement last night, praying to our God and asking for His protection. Please pray for all children.

Pray for Ukraine.
